The PowerCache product eliminates the DotNetNuke synchronization problems that may be encountered when using DotNetNuke in a load-balanced environment. It does this by using high-speed networking channels to ensure that every servers' cache is synchronized with every other server in the DotNetNuke webfarm cluster. PowerCache is specifically optimized for performance in large webfarms running DotNetNuke Professional Edition, however any load-balanced DotNetNuke application can benefit greatly from this product.

The most challenging of these problems involves handling distributed caching. New servers can be hot-added and hot-removed from a PowerCache infrastructure. Additionally, in the case of a network failure, servers running the PowerCache caching provider can continue to operate in stand-alone mode until network connectivity is restored. Once network connectivity is restored, the web servers will automatically resynchronize their own cache with the cache of all other servers in the cluster.”
